Favorite Things Friday!

Welcome to our weekly blog- “Favorite Things Friday”! Each week, we’ll aim to post something relevant to Event & Party Planning – be it a fabulous event, wedding idea, tip, floral arrangement, catering trend or time saver option. michele sinacore events will aim to provide some simple inspiration and hopefully some useful information or idea provoking photos along the way.

This week, we attended BizBash New York at the Javits Center. BizBash features the latest in event production, design & professional services. All of the top trend setters in the event industry gather and display their products in one place! From cakes to music to social media lounges to table linens, BizBash is a sensory overload & very exciting. Iconic event planners & industry trend setters such as Colin Cowie (who is FABULOUS), meetup.com founder Scott Heiferman and many others spoke about hot industry topics such as customer service & the impact of connecting with one another can make. Scott made everyone talk for two minutes to a complete stranger. In the midst of a room filled with hundreds of folks, this proved to be a great exercise as I had a great mini conversation with an Event Director from Loreal Cosmetics who I may not have spoken to otherwise. If you havent been to meetup.com, its quite incredible what one simple idea has become.

The BizBash Event Style Awards honor the very best in event creativity, in 18 categories ranging from “Best Fresh Idea” to “Best Lighting Design.” Entries are judged by a distinguished panel of event planners, suppliers, and BizBash editors. Its like the Academy Awards in the Event Industry. Take a peak at the winners & some beautiful event pics! http://bit.ly/oU9abb.

Here are some more pics: Please enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
Michele
